Crispy Chips

Ingredients:

  • Raw bananas (unripe) – 4 to 5
  • Salt – to taste
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp (optional, for color)
  • Water – as needed
  • Oil – for deep frying (preferably coconut oil )

Instructions:

Step 1: Peel and Slice

  • Peel the raw bananas.
  • Slice them thin and evenly using a slicer (thinner = crispier).

Step 2: Soak (Optional for color & salt)

  • Mix turmeric and salt in water.
  • Soak the slices for 5–10 minutes.
  • Drain and pat them dry completely with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Step 3: Fry

  • Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat.
  • When hot, drop the slices in small batches.
  • Fry until golden and crisp. Stir occasionally to cook evenly.
  • Remove and place on paper towels to absorb extra oil.

Step 4: Season

  • Sprinkle more salt or desired seasoning (like black pepper, red chili, or chat masala) while still hot.
