Crispy Chips
Ingredients:
- Raw bananas (unripe) – 4 to 5
- Salt – to taste
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp (optional, for color)
- Water – as needed
- Oil – for deep frying (preferably coconut oil )
Instructions:
Step 1: Peel and Slice
- Peel the raw bananas.
- Slice them thin and evenly using a slicer (thinner = crispier).
Step 2: Soak (Optional for color & salt)
- Mix turmeric and salt in water.
- Soak the slices for 5–10 minutes.
- Drain and pat them dry completely with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Step 3: Fry
- Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat.
- When hot, drop the slices in small batches.
- Fry until golden and crisp. Stir occasionally to cook evenly.
- Remove and place on paper towels to absorb extra oil.
Step 4: Season
- Sprinkle more salt or desired seasoning (like black pepper, red chili, or chat masala) while still hot.
